Focive ("we", "our", "us") is a productivity application available at focive.vercel.app. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.

2. Data We Collect

When you create an account or use Focive, we may collect:

• Email address and name (when signing up or using OAuth)
• Profile information from Google or GitHub (if you sign in via OAuth)
• Content you create: notes, timer sessions, habit logs, since counters
• Group membership and leaderboard data
• Usage data such as session duration and feature usage

If you use Focive without an account, data is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is never sent to our servers.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide and improve the Focive service:

• To sync your data across devices
• To display your statistics and history
• To enable group features and leaderboards
• To send account-related emails (confirmation, password reset)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS). The application is hosted on Vercel. Both providers maintain industry-standard security practices. You can review their policies at supabase.com and vercel.com.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

Focive uses browser localStorage to store your theme preference and session data. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your data

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (notes, sessions, habits, groups) will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

Focive is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Focive after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
